Evan Ellis - Boric elected President of Chile: Challenges facing his incoming government (Spanish AND English)
Dear Colleague:
Today, Sunday December 19, 2021, leftist Gabriel Boric was elected President of Chile by a 56%-45% margin over Jose Antonio Kast; Kast formally (and graciously) conceded defeat this evening…a good beginning.
With this, I would like to share my complete two-part series on Chile’s election and the challenges facing the incoming Boric administration, Chile, the region and the US. It is here, in Spanish, as well as in English.
