Dear Colleague:
It has been a pleasure for me to interact with you this past year through this medium, and I sincerely appreciate your interest in my work. Now, in my last message of 2021, I would like to share with you my forecast for Latin America and the Caribbean for 2022. I believe the year will begin with a number of causes for hope that the political shift in the region and China’s advance will not have consequences as negative as feared…yet I see an accumulating set of likely challenges that, by mid-year, will put that optimism to the test.

You can also download it from the website of Global Americans, which published it:

While I hope I am mistaken in my predictions, I believe that it is important for businesspersons and government policymakers to anticipate and plan for plausible risks. At the personal level, I wish you and your loved ones health, security, and many good things in the new year.

Dear Professor Ellis:
Thank you for your analysis. This is my first exposure to the publication "Global Americans."
Out of curiosity, what other publications/sites like "Global Americans" that focus on Latin America could you recommend?
Thank you in advance for your attention.
