Evan Ellis - Organized Crime in Mexico and the Evolving Government Response
Dear Colleague,
I am proud to share my newest article, “Organized Crime in Mexico and the Evolving Government Response,” just published by Global Americans. The article is based on an extended investigation with US and Mexican security experts, as well as other research. It looks at the evolving challenges of Sinaloa, CJNG, and other criminal organizations in Mexico, including examining highlights in the dynamics in individual Mexican states. It also looks at policies of the Mexican government of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), associated difficulties, and ongoing organizational changes in Mexico’s security apparatus in confronting that challenge.
