Dear Colleague: With this email, I would like to share my newest work, about how the combination of Covid-19, Russia's invasion of the Ukraine, PRC engagement in the Caribbean, and transnational organized crime dynamics, are gravely stressing and transforming the Caribbean. This phenomenon is particularly important to the US insofar as that the region that is a key commercial hub and the strategic southeastern maritime approach to the United States. The article also notes how the US has a corresponding window to make the Caribbean and its challenges and opportunities an important focus at the upcoming summit of the Americas.
Hello Evan, thanks for keeping the light house towards Latin America which is always forgotten by must GOP in the USA. The Caribbean region will never overcome all issues as long Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela remains under the control of Communist Regimens which by the way now days is supported financially by new order of the world where many nations are involved to included the USA. Lets hope for a better future is POTUS does do anything about it. As you know those nations Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela used to send their Military Officers to attend courses at the U.S. Army War College Strategic Studies Institute but sadly because the changed of government's in certain countries and lack of proper Foreign Policy by the USA in the region we have lost fraternity and collaboration needed to have Free Democratic Society for a better Global Economy and maintain the safety protection of the environment and its climate.
